My Story: Believing in Women and What's Possible

My Journey Begins

Hi everyone, I want to share a little bit about my story today. Not to look back about what I've achieved throughout the years, but as a reminder of what is truly possible when we believe in women.

Challenges in Education

I was born into an amazing family, with a lot of love, support, and encouragement – nothing unusual there. And yet, school was quite tough for me. I struggled in every section of my education because of dyslexia. I didn't really understand that learning system; I didn't know how it all connected or why it didn't work for me. I was definitely told many times that I wouldn't amount to anything because I didn't get my O levels or my CSEs back in the day. That kind of message really does stay with you, even as you get older, grow as a person, and even when you succeed.

Learning and Evolving

So, here is a bit of the truth: I didn't stop learning, but I learned in different ways. I learned strategies that work for me, and honestly, I'm still learning now, still growing, still evolving, still becoming something that I will be going forward. Along the way, I realized something really important.

The Power of Women and ICA

Women are extraordinary, creative, resilient, intuitive, capable of far more than we give ourselves credit for. I wanted to shout about that, to champion it, to create spaces where women are seen, supported, and totally believed in. That's one of the reasons why I Can Achieve (ICA) exists: to champion women.

We champion women not when they're finished, sorted, and tidy, but when they're still getting there, when they're still growing. We support women who want and need financial independence and security because that truly matters. Freedom matters for the choices we can make in our own lives, and building businesses is one of those ways. I love it; I love sharing my knowledge to enable women to succeed in their businesses – businesses that fit into their lives, their energy, and their values; businesses they can be truly proud of.

ICA's Philosophy

So, in ICA, we don't expect perfection because it doesn't work. We don't expect anybody to have it all figured out because we're still figuring it out ourselves. But we do celebrate everything – happy dances, high fives – because you are good enough exactly the way you are, and we need reminding every day, every now and then.

You Are Capable

So, if you've ever been told that you're not good enough, or you're not going to achieve, or "how dare you even think it," or that your dreams aren't real and realistic, I want you to truly hear this: you are capable, you are allowed to grow, and you don't have to do it alone.

I'll share a link nearby if you fancy a cuppa with me online, just to explore how we champion women within ICA – not because we've arrived and are fully sorted, but because we're still moving forward. Reach out if you have any of those challenges where people have told you you're not good enough, or if you're holding onto something like that. Because you are amazing, and you can achieve the things you want. We are still moving forward, but we have achieved along the way, and we would just love to share that there are ways you can do it as a businesswoman in your own lives. Take care everyone, see you soon!
