Hi everyone! Today I want to talk about something that might feel a little uncomfortable, perhaps even a bit dry: the topic of outsourcing. Before we jump to conclusions like, 'I've just started, I can't outsource!' or 'Where would I get the money for that?', let's take a moment to think gently. Outsourcing isn't just about big projects or giving everything away. At its core, outsourcing is about support. It's something you need to put in place before you reach the burnout stage; it helps you avoid it.
We often think that outsourcing only applies to business tasks like admin, social media, or tech. While that's true, its scope is much wider. Outsourcing can also extend to household tasks. This could be help with cleaning once a week or month, using food delivery services instead of going to the supermarket, or even getting help with ironing. If you have young children, it might mean someone helping you for a few hours a week.
We simply can't do everything or be everything for everyone, especially when building or growing a business. Your energy is one of your most valuable resources. Every hour you spend feeling exhausted, overwhelmed, or rushing to fit everything in is an hour you're not dedicating to your vision, your service to clients or customers, your creativity, or simply resting. Here’s a gentle reminder: doing everything yourself doesn't make you more committed; it definitely makes you more tired.
Therefore, outsourcing, even in a small way, is a declaration that 'I value my time, I value my energy, and I trust that I am allowed to be supported.' This belief system transforms how you show up in your business. When your energy shifts, the entire atmosphere changes. Your business feels lighter, your decisions become clearer, and your confidence experiences significant growth.
This doesn't mean spending money you don't have. It's about intentionally choosing what to delegate. It could be as simple as one small task a month, or identifying an area where you can buy back time. Perhaps your partner can support you a little more, or there are clear tasks that can be delegated. Sometimes, it's simply about giving yourself permission to ask for help and seek that extra teamwork. We're not here to prove how much we can carry; we're here to build something amazing for ourselves, our lives, and our families. And that begins with getting support for yourself.
So today, I'd love you to ask yourself, calmly and gently: 'Where could I ask for help? Where could I receive help? Where could I free up a little more energy for the things that really truly matter?' Building your business isn't about constantly doing more and more; it's about focusing on the things that truly matter to you. Be kind to yourself and ask for support.
